Traffic Stops Twice on Friday

Traffic came to a halt on Hwy 441 twice Friday afternoon. The first, around the 12 o’clock hour, was a two car wreck with no injuries and a quick clean up. The second, which happen at 3:24, was a bit more severe, said Rabun County Fire Captain, Justin Upchurch, from the scene…

“We had a three vehicle wreck with minor injuries, one got transported to Mountain Lakes Medical Center.”

Though one person was transported to the hospital from  the scene, the injuries were said to be non life threatening. All but one lane was closed on 441 during the second wreck as cleanup of the scene took just over an hour. Rabun County Fire, EMS, Clayton PD, and Georgia State Patrol all worked the accident. A Trooper for GSP said one person would be charged with failure to yield while turning left. Both wrecks happened in the vicinity of Duvall Automotive.
