Toys for Tots Still In Need

The Smoky Mountain Region of Toys for Tots is still seeking toys to provide for the kids who are in need this Christmas Season.

Ivy Stiles with the Smoky Mountain Region of Toys for Tots says that in past years, they have helped over 3000 kids in the four county region, and is expecting that number to be similar again this year.

Stiles that collections this year have been down, so toys and donations are still needed.

For more information on how to help, including drop off locations and donation jars in the area, visit the Smoky Mountain Region of Toys for Tots Website at www.smokymt-toysfortots.org.

All toys collected in this region go to kids in this region.

Stiles says they try to get two to three different items to each child who is sponsored through Toys for Tots, meaning that between 6000 and 10000 toys are needed to adequately supply Christmas to the kids in the program.
