Tiger Man Charged After Dispute

A man is arrested under the family violence act after an altercation Tuesday morning.

Just before 4am, deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a location in Tiger in reference to a dispute between a male and female.

According to the report, the male, identified as thirty nine year old Judson Marty Thompson of Tiger, answered the door, and told officers that everything was now fine.

The female and her son were in a bedroom in the Tiger residence, and were visibly shaken when talking with deputies.

The report states that after gathering both physical and testimonial evidence of superficial injuries, threats, and abusive language, Judson was arrested and taken to the Rabun County Detention Center.

As of Monday morning, he remains in the Detention Center on a $19,000, charged with Misdemeanor Battery, False Imprisonment, and two counts of terroristic threats and acts, as well as a probation violation.
