Tiger Man arrested for DUI

A Tiger man stands charged with two offenses, including driving under the influence of alcohol, after a recent crash.  The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that around midnight on Jan. 19, a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Lake Rabun Road in Lakemont.  The deputy located the driver, 25-year-old Austin Gregory Ramey, and smelled alcohol on his breath. After failing the field sobriety tests, Ramey was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to maintain lane with an accident.  His truck was towed from the scene and he was booked into the Rabun County Detention Center on the two charges.
