Rotary Club of Clayton to Raise Funds for SC Flood Victims

Heavy rainfall caused flooding in South Carolina two weeks ago, with some areas receiving more than 15 inches, sometimes in excess of 20 inches of rain. Many organizations are doing their part in donating items to the Palmetto State, including the Rotary Club of Clayton. President of the Rotary Club Jim Antosiak tells us that they have partnered with a sister organization in Columbia, to raise and distribute funds. The reason that the Rotary is only raising funds, and not taking other donations, is because it is easier for the victims to use the money how they need it.

Antosiak also tells us that the community can get involved, by donating money. He mentions that donations are tax deductible, and that all funds will go to the flood victims.

He says that if one would like to donate to the South Carolina flood victims, write a check to the “Clayton Rotary Foundation”, and drop off the check at either Georgia Power, Appalachian Insurance, First American Bank, and the Sky 96.3 and Real Country 100.3 studios on Main Street before October 21st.
