Rickman Officially Sworn In

District Attorney for the Mountain Judicial Circuit Court, Brian Rickman, has officially been sworn in to serve on the Georgia Court of Appeals.

Rickman, along with superior court judge of the Appalachian Judicial Circuit, Amanda Mercier, and vice chancellor for legal affairs and secretary for the board of regents, Nels S.D. Peterson, were officially sworn in to the Court of Appeals, after a few delays concerning a lawsuit that claimed that the appointments by Governor Deal were unconstitutional prevented them from being sworn in three weeks ago.

Rickman has served as district attorney for the Mountain Judicial Circuit Court, that represents Rabun, Habersham, and Stephens Counties, for seven years. His term begins tomorrow, and will last until December 31, 2018.
