Recreation Facility Concessionaire wanted

Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest Supervisor Betty Jewett announces the solicitation of applications for managing recreation sites including numerous day-use areas, campgrounds and a cabin to be operated under a concession program on the Forest.  One special use permit to provide high-quality public services for the operation and maintenance of government-owned recreation facilities will be issued. The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests anticipate choosing a successful applicant in December of 2019 with the intention of operations beginning in time to provide services for the 2020 recreation season.  The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests prospectus concession sites are located on the Blue Ridge and Chattooga River Ranger Districts. The prospectus offers 5 sites in 4 lake-based recreation complexes, plus one Appalachian National Scenic Trail Recreation Area offering a total of 4 single family campgrounds (200 sites), 2 group campgrounds (5 sites), 1 cabin, 3 RV sewer waste stations, 5 picnic grounds, 5 group picnic grounds with shelters, 5 boat ramps, 4 swim beaches, 3 trails and 3 trailheads.  Prospective applicants can find details about the sites and the application process by reviewing the Prospectus for Campground and Related Granger-Thye Concessions documents posted on the Forest website at https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/conf/home.  The prospectus is being advertised on the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS.GOV) website at http://www.fbo.gov/ solicitation number: 12435H19Q0803.  All written applications, including payment for the processing fees must be received by the Forest no later than 4:30pm on October 1, 2019.  Site visits will be scheduled for September 11 and 12, 2019.
