Rabun Gap welcomes New Production Manager and Arts Department Chair

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School welcomes Joseph Wade as its new Production Manager and Arts Department Chair.  He has over 20 years experience teaching at private schools and universities including Theatre Stage Management and theatre design at University of Illinois, Chicago, and sculpture at Stagecraft and woodshop at Francis W. Parker School in Chicago.  Wade is experienced in many forms of arts and has taught scenic design, stage management, technical theater, architecture, and more.  He also has 15 years experience as a scenic designer at the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago.  He is the recipient of many Jeff Awards, awards to honor excellence in the Chicago theatre community, and won the SSSAS Teacher of Excellence Award in 2018.  Wade comes to Rabun Gap from St. Stephens & St. Agnes School, where he taught 3D sculptural design.  Wade holds a B.A. in Theater Arts and Education from DePaul University.  He will live on campus with his wife Jennifer and their two dogs Duck and Goose.
