Rabun County Sheriff’s Citizen’s Academy Dates Announced

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office have announced a formation of the sixth Rabun County Sheriff’s Citizen’s Academy.

According to a post on their facebook page, The Rabun County Sheriff’s Citizens Academy is an interactive program designed to inform citizens about the role of the Sheriff’s Office in our community and allow them to gain firsthand knowledge about the inner workings of the Sheriff’s Office.

During the academy, Class members will learn about all aspects of the Sheriff’s Office. They will also become familiar with other agencies including the court systems, 911 -EMS and area fire departments, District Attorney, Coroner, City Police Department and others.

The class will accept 20 participants on a first come, first serve basis, and will produce well-informed citizens who can become goodwill ambassadors.
