One Arrested for Rape, Kidnapping

Law enforcement arrests a young man on rape and kidnapping charges late Friday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, around 5 pm Friday, the father of a young woman found her lying on the ground in an area near Franklin Street in Dillard and spotted a young hispanic male running into a wooded area.

The father called 911 and reported that his daughter had been raped and kidnapped by twenty year old Alexis Domingues of Dillard.

Rabun County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Jack Tanksley says they arrested Domingues approximately an hour and a half later.

“We had to back track him and locate him in an apartment in Dillard, where he was arrested at that time.”

Domingues is currently being held in the Rabun County Detention Center, and the case is still under investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
