Northeast Georgia Country Singer Involved in Fatal Wreck

According to The North Carolina State Patrol, local Northeast Georgia musician John King, was involved in an accident that took the life of a 36 year old woman, Manisha Coleman, early Sunday Morning. The wreck happened on the Wright Memorial Bridge over the Currituck Sound, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean in Outer Banks North Carolina. King and his band members were hospitalized after the truck King was driving hit a stationary vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, 24 year old Erik Overton, had stopped the car to retrieve a T-top that flew off while traveling on the bridge. Coleman the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, Overton ended up in the inlet waters but was uninjured. King and his band members have been released from the hospital. According to a report from “The Outer Banks Voice” neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the wreck and no charges have been filed.
