NGTC signs Articulation Agreement with Emmanuel College

North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) recently signed an articulation agreement with Emmanuel College to allow additional courses to transfer beginning fall 2020 semester.  NGTC President Dr. Mark Ivester and Emmanuel President Dr. Ron White inked the agreement stating that course credits in Diversified Agriculture, Criminal Justice and Business Administration programs will transfer from NGTC to Emmanuel College.  Previously, an articulation agreement signed in Spring 2017 with Emmanuel College spelled out transfer of course credits from NGTC’s Child Development program into Emmanuel’s Elementary Education program. “This agreement will allow students to have a smoother transition, and we are so thankful for this partnership with Emmanuel to help our students meet their academic and professional careers,” said NGTC Vice President of Academic Affairs Mindy Glander.  “Emmanuel College has always been a wonderful educational partner,” said NGTC Dean of Academic Affairs Leslie McFarlin. “This is our very first articulation agreement for our Agriculture program and one of the first goals we set to accomplish on behalf of our agriculture students. The collaboration between our program directors will continue to foster wonderful opportunities for the North Georgia agriculture community. We are so appreciative to Dr. John Henzel and his team for working so well with our college.”  This updated articulation agreement augments a more general agreement that the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) already has with the Georgia Independent College Association (of which Emmanuel College is a member) for transfer of course credits from TSCG Schools to GICA schools. More specifically, the current articulation agreement will allow courses to transfer between Emmanuel and NGTC that are not included on that TSCG/GICA document.
