More Bang this 4th of July in Georgia

A new Bill has been signed by Governor Nathan Deal making the sale of fireworks in the State of Georgia legal. The bill was signed this past Tuesday. House Bill 110 is set to take effect on July 1st of this year. Businesses wanting to sell fireworks will first have to purchase a $5000 licensing fee, and consumers will see an extra 5% tax on top of local and State sales tax added to each purchase. Every State other than North Carolina that borders Georgia already sells fireworks.
