Man Sentenced to 40 Years in Prison

A 45-year old Oconee County man is sentenced to 40 years in prison after being found guilty of criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the first degree.
Steven Gregory Frost was facing anywhere from 25 years to life in prison.
The victim in the case was a nine-year old girl, who testified against Frost.
The defendant did not testify in his own defense, nor did his side offer any witnesses.
Judge Cordell Maddox passed the sentence after hearing that Frost has a long criminal record dating back to 1984 and, at the time of his latest crime, had only been out of prison for 15 days.
