Lakemont Man arrested for Criminal Interference with Government Property

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested a Lakemont man for criminal interference with government property.  On May 27, a deputy was dispatched to an address on Barnyard Lane to transport two subjects in custody.  The deputy met with an investigator, who advised him that the two men were upset with each other.  Another deputy was called to the scene so the pair could be split up and transported in separate patrol cars.  While waiting on the additional unit, 31-year-old Pablo Montalvo of Lakemont, became more aggressive and attempted to run.  The investigator grabbed him to stop him and Montalvo grabbed the rear antenna and broke it off the patrol car.  While he was pulling it off the car, the antenna scrapped the trunk causing additional damage.  He was arrested and transported to the Rabun County Detention Center.
