Green Ready to Take Over as Mayor

Nearly 14 days ago, Mayor of the City of Clayton John Bradshaw’s resignation went into effect, leaving the city without a leader. During the City Council meeting that night, December 16th, the council had a decision to make, who would fill Bradshaw’s shoes? The answer, Jordan Green.

Green had served as Mayor Pro Tem during Bradshaw’s term, and he was nominated by the council to serve the remaining two years of the term.

We spoke with Green, and the 29-year-old says that he was sad to see Bradshaw go, but that he excited to take over, and that the council has enough confidence in him to be the mayor.

When also asked if he had a message for the residents of Clayton, and he says that he looks forward to being the mayor, and that he wants the residents to know that the city will do what is right, and what is just.

This will be made official during January’s Council Meeting, when Green is sworn into office.
