Georgia State returns from bye week

After an open week, Georgia State returns to Sun Belt Conference play at first-place Arkansas State, beginning a stretch of six conference games in six weeks. Saturday’s game kicks off at 7 p.m. ET at Centennial Bank Stadium in Jonesboro, Ark.

The Panthers’ (2-4, 1-1 Sun Belt) last game was a 31-19 victory at Mid-American Conference foe Ball State. Nick Arbuckle passed for 412 yards and accounted for three touchdowns and Robert Davis had career highs with nine catches for 125 yards to back a strong performance by the Georgia State defense.

Arkansas State (4-3, 3-0 Sun Belt), coming off a 37-27 victory over UL Lafayette on Tuesday, Oct. 22, is tied with Appalachian State at the top league standings at 3-0.

Georgia State is one of four Sun Belt teams with one conference loss.
