Georgia Pump Prices see Decline

Georgia gas prices continue to decline. Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $2.52 per gallon for regular unleaded. Monday’s state average is 5 cents less than a week ago, 8 cents less than this time last month, and 23 cents less than this time last year.  It now costs $37.80 to fill a 15-gallon tank of gasoline. That is $4.80 less than what motorists paid last May, when pump prices hit their 2018 peak of $2.84 per gallon. Georgia pump prices are cheaper due to increasing stock levels, reports AAA. However, those savings are likely to increase as gas prices push less expensive moving through August.  AAA updates fuel price averages daily at www.GasPrices.AAA.com. Every day up to 130,000 stations are surveyed based on credit card swipes and direct feeds in cooperation with the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) and Wright Express for unmatched statistical reliability. All average retail prices in this report are for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline.
