General Manager gives Monthly Report to RCWSA

At their recent meeting, the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority heard the monthly report from General Manager Brendan Thompson.  “Basically, our ending balance for September 2020 was $123,399.26.  Our water bill to the City of Clayton for September has been delivered that is in the amount of $119,819.51.  Pump distribution to the system was down .1% from August to September, which basically amounted to about 47,000 gallons.  Our meter readings were done on September 24, and bills were sent out on September 30.  There were no new taps for either the north or south system for the month of September of 2020.  Our northern water system was basically up 1.7% for about 269,000 gallons.  At our wastewater plant, we basically had our regular preventative maintenance.  We had two new sewer taps, one in Tiger and one in Rabun Gap.  So, it was a pretty good month.”  Thompson said a few things are ongoing such as grass mowing, weed-eating, and spraying of fences as well as fire hydrant maintenance and valve exercising.
