Four Wrecks in Two Days in Rabun Co.

It was a busy couple of days in Rabun County as four auto accidents were reported to the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office over two days.  The first occurred Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 10:55am on Warwoman Road involving a 2009 Pontiac G5 when the driver entered a curve, hit a hole in the roadway, causing the vehicle to go off the shoulder hitting an embankment.  Fortunately, the driver was not injured. The second accident occurred Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 3:09pm on Georgia 15 at the intersection of West Boggs Mountain Road involving a 2000 Chevy Silverado that was trying to cross the highway and struck a 2012 Ford Edge.  The driver of the Edge was taken by EMS to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the two-vehicle accident. The third wreck happened on Thursday, Aug. 22, at 7:45am on Bridgecreek Road as a 2011 Toyota Tacoma was pulling out of the Tiger Food Mart and stopped at the intersection with Old 441, a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee failed to stop and collided with its rear.  Fortunately, no one was injured in the two-vehicle collision. The fourth auto-accident occurred on Thursday, Aug. 22, at 3:27pm on Georgia 15 at the intersection with Seed Tick Road when a 2011 Acura came across the intersection and struck a 2005 Jeep Liberty. Fortunately, no one was injured in that two-vehicle accident, either.
