First Week of Early Voting a Success in Rabun County

Early voting for the state of Georgia began last week, and, according to the Rabun County Board of Elections, the voter turnout for week one has kept the poll workers busy.

According to Jane Thomason, assistant to Board of Election Supervisor, Tammy Whitmire, the count for early voting ballots as of Friday were up to 583, with 289 returned absentee ballots.

For those looking to participate, Thomason says that there is still time, early voting continues until May 20, with election day on May 24.
