Fireworks Celebration in Clayton on Saturday

As part of Rabun County’s Bicentennial Celebration, the City of Clayton is hosting a fireworks celebration on Saturday, Aug. 31.  A free concert featuring the FoxFire Boys is planned for 6-8:30pm followed by fireworks over downtown. North Main Street will be closed to traffic for the event, so motorists should exercise caution traveling through the area and plan to take alternate routes.  Everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy this celebration for Labor Day and the county’s 200th anniversary. This free event is sponsored by the Clayton Merchants and Business Association and the City of Clayton. In case of rain, the event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 1.
