Piedmont’s Mason-Scharfenstein Museum to celebrate Goldsleger

The Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art will host a public reception from 5-7pm on February 6, 2020, to celebrate the work of Cheryle Goldsleger, an acclaimed artist who served on the Piedmont College faculty from 1998 to 2001.  A selection of Goldsleger’s works, titled Limits~Illusions, continues to be on display at the museum through February 7. Goldsleger currently serves as the Morris Eminent Scholar in Art at Augusta University in Georgia and maintains an active national and international exhibition schedule. Her work is part of many prestigious collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the High Museum of Art, Atlanta.  For Limits~Illusions, Goldsleger examines the relationship individuals and societies have with place, location, and boundaries. The Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art is located at 567 Georgia Street in Demorest. Admission is free, and museum hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday.
