Doug Collins coming to Rabun County for Meet and Greet

Congressman Doug Collins will host a meet and greet at the Rabun County Republican Party headquarters on Thursday, October 15, 2020, at 4pm.  The event will be at the Rabun GOP headquarters located at 811 U.S. Highway 441 in the same building as the indoor flea market. Collins was President Trump’s chief defender during the House Impeachment hearings as the ranking Republican on the Judiciary Committee before making the decision to seek the open Senate Seat. Collins vacated his house seat to run for the U.S. Senate Seat that was held by Johnny Isakson. In this special election some 21 candidates from all parties will compete to fill the remaining two years of the Senate term. If no candidate receives 50% of the vote the top two finishers (regardless of party) will meet for a General Election runoff on January 5th to determine who will finish out the term. Later on the 15th Collins will also have a fundraiser event hosted by Ann & Dave Culley and Rachel & Mike Hammer held at the Waterfall Club on Lake Burton at 6pm. Other candidates will be on hand and the Trump store will be open with campaign information for all GOP candidates.
