CVB Looks at Web Advertising

The Rabun County Convention and Visitors Bureau met last night at the Dillard House.

The CVB discussed a little bit of their marketing plan that will attempt to get more visitors to the county.

According to the Executive Director of the CVB Pete Cleaveland, one way of doing that is to target specific demographics with web advertising.

Cleaveland gave a brief explanation of how that would work.

“Say somebody in Atlanta searches for ‘North Georgia Mountains,’ ” said Cleaveland. “Boom, we know they want to travel to the North Georgia Mountains. So when they then travel to another website, our ad will pop up.”

The Bureau also discussed beginning to use QR codes around town, as well as the upcoming project of printing new brochures to show off what Rabun County has to offer.
