COVID-19 Death Toll continues to rise in Georgia

COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 1,137 Georgians.  The Georgia Department of Public Health reports that 164,465 people have been tested for the virus, 26,937 people have tested positive for COVID-19, and 5,198 people are being hospitalized in the state.  In Rabun County, 13 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 5 people are being hospitalized for the respiratory virus.  Habersham County lists 310 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 49 hospitalizations, and 8 deaths.  In Towns County, 21 people have tested positive for the virus, 7 people are being hospitalized, and 1 person has died.  White County lists 61 confirmed positive cases and 18 hospitalizations.  The Georgia Department of Public Health continues to post daily updates on their website at dph.georgia.gov.
