Clayton Police Going Forward with Drug Charges Following ATV accident

Last week, we reported that a Clayton man was in critical condition following an all-terrain vehicle accident on Stave Mill Road. The injured man was reported as 34-year-old Eli Lopez-Villegas of Clayton.

While at the scene, Clayton police discovered a crown royal bag filled with what appeared to be methamphetamine. Clayton Police stated that they would wait for the outcome of his condition, as the injury he suffered during the accident was considered severe.

As of Monday, Lopez-Villegas had returned home, and Clayton Police are going forward with the charges he faces, that according to chief of police, Andy Strait.

Lopez-Villegas faces one count of possession of a schedule 1, 2, and 4 controlled substance, and two additional counts of possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance.
