Clayton Police, Georgia State Patrol arrest 8 over weekend

In an effort to keep the streets of Clayton safe, the Clayton Police Department in connection with the Georgia State Patrol, conducted two highway safety checks within the city limits of Clayton last weekend.

As a result, 8 arrests were made between the night of May 7th, and the early morning hours of May 8th. These arrests range from driving while unlicensed, to trafficking heroin and methamphetamine.

According to a press release on the issue, the Clayton City Police Department says that they have been, and will continue to be dedicated to removing illegal drugs and impaired drivers from Clayton’s roadways and community.
