Clayton City Police to Replace Three Cars

Also discussed during the meeting, was the approval of buying three new police cars for the Clayton Police Department.

According to Clayton Police Chief, Andy Strait, there are three current cars that are in the 8-10 year old range, which leads to increasing repair costs. Strait received the “go-ahead” to purchase the three new cars to replace the three oldest ones that are still in use. The payments will be set up through the Georgia Municipal Association.

Clayton City Manager, Cissy Henry, enjoys the idea of buying three new cars, stating “getting these three new cars will offset some of the maintenance costs.”
