Citizens Academy this Fall

Sheriff Frank Andrews has announced the formation of the fifth Rabun County Sheriff’s Citizens Academy. The Rabun County Sheriff’s Citizens Academy is an interactive program designed to inform citizens about the role of the Sheriff’s Office in our community and allow them to gain firsthand knowledge about the inner workings of the Sheriff’s Office.

The fifth class will consist of 20 participants selected on a first come, first served basis. Classes will be held each Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 beginning September 1st and running through November 3rd. To apply  for an upcoming class, call the Sheriff’s Office at 706-782-3612, or you may contact Garnett Nash, Citizens Academy Coordinator, at 706-782-7234.
