Brush Fire in Clayton
A brush fire broke out in Clayton Monday afternoon according to Fire Chief Marty Dixon…
“It was on Knots Ln.. Probably a 100′ x 100′ pretty small. We had about five people from the Fire Department and then one person from Georgia Forrest.”
Dixon says there are some questions surrounding the cause of the fire…
“It appeared to have been set, we don’t know if it was accidentally by flicking a cigarette out, or intentionally.”
The incident was turned over to Clayton Police Investigator Ryan Hamilton who said no evidence has been found that suggests the fire was set intentionally but the investigation has not yet been closed.
