Agenda released for Clayton City Council Work Session

The Clayton City Council holds a work session at 4pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, in the City of Clayton courtroom.  On the agenda, the council will hold a second reading to amend Article II of Section 38 dealing with streets, sidewalks and other places; consider three bids for asbestos removal in the old kitchen boiler room, hear three quotes for a camera system; set public hearing dates on the millage rate; discuss a resolution to contract with the Georgia Mountain Regional Commission to apply for a Community Development Block Grant through DCA and give permission for a qualified engineer under federal standards; discuss and approve Phase I of the Cares Act Payment; discuss and approve Phase II of the Cares Act Payment; hear monthly reports on the wastewater plant, Ad Valorem delinquents, police, financial status, and zoning; get updates on the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority and DDA; consider a sewer ordinance for industry; and make an appointment to the Ethics Board.  The meeting is open to the public and social distancing will be in place.
