Man Dies on Seneca Roads After Cardiac Event

A 66-year old Seneca man died at the scene of a single vehicle collision on Monday.

According to Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis, it appears James Tagtmeyer sustained a cardiac event causing him to exit the road into a field adjacent to Sheep Farm Road.

There was minimal damage to the vehicle, and authorities state that Tagtmeyer was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries.

It is reported that Tagtmeyer had a pre-existing heart condition. His death is classified as natural.
