Saturday’s Going to the Dogs…and Cats

Paw for Life has a big Saturday ahead of them. Aside from being at the Bark Park Grand Opening, Shelter Director Amanda Landress says they will also be at another event…

“The Dog Day Afternoon Festival is going to be Saturday, August 2nd, at the Timpson Creek Gallery on Hwy 76 west in Clayton. It’s going to be from noon to four, dogs and kids are welcomed, it’s a great event for the whole family. There’s gonna be art, contests, vendors, and more. We’re gonna have a dog photo booth, a hot dog lunch, an adoption table, lots of cats and dogs, puppies, and kittens ready to go home, so come by and see us.”

The event will benefit two organizations…

“It’s gonna benefit Paws for Life, and also Habitat for Hounds, which is an organization founded by Brenda Nash, who provides dog houses for needy dogs in Rabun County, we’re gonna be, actually there painting some of the dog houses, and you guys can inquire at Rabun Animal Hospital about the houses and Habitat for Hounds.”
