Rabun’s Representative Named Vice-Chair

Rabun County’s U.S. Representative is named a vice-chairman of a subcommittee.

Representative Doug Collins has been named the vice-chair on the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa.

Collins was appointed to that position last week, and he says that he feels the six months he spent in Iraq as a member of the United States Air Force Reserve will allow him to give personal insight into the issue of American foreign policy.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce says that Collins’ military background will be invaluable as the committee addresses security threats.
