Appeal Planned in Clayton/Tiger Case

An appeal is planned regarding a ruling on a suit between two municipalities in Rabun County..

The town of Tiger’s attorney Allyn Stockton filed the notice of appeal in Rabun County Superior Court on Thursday of last week.

Tiger is appealing the judgment entered in the case surrounding Tiger’s Sewer Rate in March, following the jury trials conclusion in February.

In that trial, the jury ruled that Tiger was paying less than the cost of sewer. It was also ruled that Tiger was paying less than the cost of the administrative rate.

The Clayton City Council recently voted on a new sewer rate and administrative rate for Tiger.
