Traffic Study Starting This Week at “Highly Congested Intersection” in Rabun County

From the Rabun County Board of Commissioners: “On October 21st and 22nd a traffic study will be conducted at the intersection of Boggs Mt. Rd. and Ga15/441. This traffic study has been requested by myself and the Board of Commissioners and upon completion will be submitted to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
We are attempting to show the necessity for a traffic light at this highly congested intersection.
The study will be looking at traffic volumes entering and exiting Boggs Mtn. specifically vehicles turning south onto Ga15/441 from E. Boggs Mtn. and vehicles turning North onto Ga15/441 from W. Boggs Mtn. The study will collect data from 7am-7pm both days.
Again, please be safe as you travel through this area in the coming days, as crews will be preparing for this survey.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to reach out.”
