Rabun Gap Man arrested for Drugs

During a safety check on September 5, a deputy of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Rabun Gap man on drug charges.  At 10:30pm, the deputy made contact with a 1997 Ford F150 driven by 24-year-old Buddy Lee Fairchild on Bethel Road in Tiger.  Noticing that Fairchild had bloodshot eyes, the deputy asked him some questions which led to the seizure of drugs.  Fairchild was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, methamphetamine, possession and use of drug-related objects, and an expired tag.  He was booked into the Rabun County Detention Center on the four charges.
