Impressive First Half of School Year in Rabun Co.

The first five months of the 2019-20 school year are in the books and it has been an impressive start, says Rabun County Schools Superintendent Dr. April Childers.  “The first half of the school year has been wonderful! The teachers, staff, and students in Rabun County Schools are working hard every day. We started the year with a focus on student safety, building better relationships, and academic growth and we’re still working on those but we are very pleased with the achievements we’ve made this far this year.  We’ve seen improvements in our test scores. In addition to that, we’ve had some exciting things outside of the classroom. Cross country, softball, volleyball, football, and One Act Play all went past region in the playoffs. So, we’re proud of all of our extracurriculars and their achievements. Our band is doing a wonderful job this year and if you haven’t had a chance to catch them at a basketball game, they’ve even been playing at our basketball games too.”  To learn more about the Rabun County School System, visit https://www.rabuncountyschools.org/.
