Rabun Co. Sheriff announces Citizens’ Law Enforcement Academy

Would you like to learn more about the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office?  Well, here is your chance as Rabun County Sheriff Chad Nichols announces the upcoming Citizens’ Law Enforcement Academy.  “This is a free course we offer to Rabun County citizens. Anyone can come and participate in the course. Basically, we take eight weeks, I think it is every Tuesday night starting at 6pm and goes to 8-9pm just depending on what topic we are on that week.  We cover pretty much everything to do with the Sheriff’s Office so it is really good information. Lt. Mark Gerrells does it and if anybody has taken his classes they know how interactive and fun he is and it is just a good time. There are applications as we need a little information so people can come by the Sheriff’s Office there at the Courthouse or go to our website at rabunsheriff.org, under useful links, look for the Citizens’ Law Enforcement Academy application.  You can download it there and fill it out and just bring it by the Sheriff’s Office.”  Courses start on March 10, and conclude on April 28, with a dinner ceremony.  For more information, call 706-782-3612.
