Otto Man charged with Failure to Report an Accident

For not reporting an accident with damage, an Otto, North Carolina man faces two charges from the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.  At 6am on Nov. 13, a deputy was dispatched to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Georgia 15 near Hidden Falls Drive. The deputy found a blue van in the median, facing north on the south side of the median.  The airbags had been deployed, the front windshield was broken, and there were skid marks approximately 500 yards long behind the vehicle. In addition, two manholes had been struck by the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was not present.  After an investigation, the deputy learned that the van was registered to 31-year-old Alvaro Luis Bravo. Contact was made with Bravo, who came to the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office and was arrested for driving without a valid license and leaving the scene of an accident with damage.  He was booked into the Rabun County Detention Center on the two charges.
