Four Wrecks over the Weekend in Rabun Co. 

Four motor vehicle accidents were reported to the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend.  On Friday, Sept. 13, at 7pm, a man driving a 2008 Dodge 3500, was attempting to back into a parking spot on Highway 441 North when he struck the rear driver side of a 2015 Audi Q3.  Another accident occurred on Friday, Sept. 13, around 10pm on Georgia 15 at its intersection with Mountain City Road when a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 was trying to change lanes and merged into a 2015 Cadillac SRX.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle wreck. The third motor vehicle accident occurred on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 2pm on Bridge Creek Road when a 2004 Chevy Silverado was rounding a curve and the ball joint broke causing the tire to slam into the fender disabling the truck.  The driver was not injured in the single-vehicle accident. The fourth wreck involved three vehicles and occurred on Sunday, Sept. 15, around 11am on Georgia 15 at its intersection with Old Mountain City Road. According to the motor vehicle crash report from the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, a 2016 Chevy Impala crossed the center line and sideswiped a 2019 Ford F150 then struck a 2013 Mini Cooper in the rear.  The F150 left the roadway and struck a light pole at North Shore Convenient Care. The driver of the Chevy was taken by EMS to Mountain Lakes Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the three-vehicle accident. The other two drivers were not injured.
