Two Vehicles collide with Deer

Two vehicles collided with deer recently in Rabun County.  The first incident occurred at 3pm on Sept. 13, 2019, on Betty’s Creek Road.  According to the motor vehicle crash report from the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, a deer ran out in front of a 2016 Chevy Trax that was being driven by a 72-year-old man from Rabun Gap.  The second incident happened at 8:20am on Sept. 14, 2019, on Georgia 15 at its intersection with Greenwood Lane. The crash report states that a deer ran out in front of a 2013 Ford Van being driven by a 25-year-old man from Scaly Mountain, North Carolina.  Fortunately, neither driver was injured in the accidents; however, the same cannot be said of the deer.
