Four Chattooga Tubers Are Safe

Four people are safe after they were reported missing last Friday.

According to WYFF-TV in Greenville, South Carolina, four people went missing in Oconee County last Friday after they spent the day tubing on the Chattooga River. The four became stranded when they reached an area of lower water levels, which caused them to move slower down the river. They stopped for the night after their journey was reaching nighttime hours.

On Saturday, Oconee County Emergency Service workers spotted the tubers in a wooded area. The four stated that they had spent the night in the area, and were planning on finishing their run that day.

They have returned home safely.
