Lillian E. Smith Center to offer Free Talks This Summer

Good food and good talk are at the heart of a series of events hosted by the Piedmont College Lillian E. Smith Center near Clayton this summer.

The free talks will include lunch or dinner, followed by 20-minute discussions on topics ranging from social justice, art, memories of Laurel Falls Camp, and outdoor recreation.

The first talk will be held at noon, Friday, June 10, with Dr. Steve Jacobs, chair of the Department of Social Sciences at Piedmont College. Dr. Jacobs will explore prevailing social justice issues facing the world today, many of which were so important to Lillian Smith.
