Theft by Taking Incident Occurs at Clayton Residence

A residence located in northeast Clayton is subjected to a theft by taking incident last week.

According to a report obtained by the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, a resident of the Pinnacle Drive area of Clayton reported that their home, which had been rented, showed signs of a theft by taking.

Investigator of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, Sergeant Tony Free, says that some of the items that were taken include a wooden swing, kitchen chairs, lamps, mirrors, dressers, and mattresses.

Free also says that this incident is still under investigation. Interviews have been conducted, and the office hopes to gain more leads on this case.

The estimated value of the items taken from the house is $2,235.00
