Warrant Issued for Dry Cleaning Burglary in Cornelia

A burglary at a dry cleaning business in Cornelia leads to an issued warrant.

According to a press release from the Cornelia Police Department, A burglary took place last month at B&C Cleaners on Main Street in Cornelia, where a number of police uniforms were stolen. The department notified the public in the incident, so residents would be on the lookout for someone possibly impersonating an officer.

The uniform shirts for the department were recovered, including a uniform shirt belonging to the Habersham County Fire Department. On October 26, Cornelia Police issued a warrant for 26-year-old David Allen Willey Jr in connection with the burglary.

Also, according to the report, Cornelia Police said that this investigation is still on-going, and no further information will be released at this time.
