Clayton Man Arrested Last Week

The Clayton Police Department arrested a Clayton man last week on drug charges.

Investigator Ryan Hamilton says that the arrest of Thomas Jerome Hunter, aged 30, on October 7th took place at the old Bi-Lo Parking Lot. There, he was found with a quantity of suspected marijuana and methamphetamine.

While possession of marijuana and methamphetamine are serious charges, Hamilton says that Hunter had warrants for even more serious crimes. According to the police report, Hunter had warrants on him concerning battery against a child, and cruelty to children that was issued on September 9th.
