60 Days of Lights

Clayton City Marshal Scott Crane says while there are no limits on what Christmas lights you put up this holiday season, there in an ordinance for the city on when those lights come down…

“We don’t have any ordinances on how large, how many. We want everyone to have a good time. We do require that they only stay up 60 days for any one holiday season in any one holiday year. So you can leave them up for 60 days but we ask you to take them down after those days. We look forward to everyone having Christmas lights, and the bigger the better.”

Crane adds that he hopes all Christmas decorations will be in good taste.
