1,100 COVID-19 Deaths in Georgia

COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 1,100 Georgians.  The Georgia Department of Public Health reports that 143,790 people have been tested for the virus, 25,868 people have tested positive for COVID-19, and 5,090 people are being hospitalized in the state.  In Rabun County, 12 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 5 people are being hospitalized for the respiratory virus.  Habersham County lists 247 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 47 hospitalizations, and 7 deaths.  In Towns County, 21 people have tested positive for the virus, 7 people are being hospitalized, and 1 person has died.  White County lists 59 confirmed positive cases and 18 hospitalizations.  The Georgia Department of Public Health continues to post daily updates on their website at dph.georgia.gov.
